In September 2017, UTaNRMP advertised in the media, local public institutions and through Focal Development Area Committees (FDACs) for Common Interest Groups (CIGs) to apply for matching grants from the Project under the 4^th Call for Proposals. The grants are meant to support the implementation of community based Income Generating Activities (IGAs). After proposals were submitted and a rigorous desk and field appraisal was conducted by an Independent Appraisal Agency (IAA), the first batch of successful proposals was funded in June 2018.

The Upper Tana Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP) intends to utilize a portion of its funds to support placement of an Agribusiness Development Coordinator at the Projct Coordination Unit in Embu. The officer will be serving on one year contract renewable annually for the period of the project subject to satisfactory annual performance assessment.More details on this are provided in the attachement below.

UTaNRMP invites eligible and qualified firms including those owned by Youth, Women and Persons with Disability (YWPD) to submit sealed applications for purposes of pre-qualifying suppliers of goods, works, Services and consultancies for the period 2020 – 2022 under the categories listed in the attachments provided. The Upper Tana Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP) intends to use part of its funds to support implementation of 11 No. Boreholes in Muranga County. The project now invites eligible and qualified firms including those owned by Youth, Women and Persons with Disabilities to submit sealed tenders as per detailed tender document specifications.

The 3^rd call for proposals from Community Forest Associations (CFAs) and Water Resources User Associations (WRUAs) to be funded in the financial year 2019/2020 by UTaNRMP through the WSTF was published in year 2018 in the Standard and Star dailies. Consequently, 96 proposals were received (62 from WRUAs & 34 from CFAs). After the proposals appraisal by the Secretariat and the Project Review Committee (PRC) and subsequent no objection by IFAD; 44 project proposals qualified for funding in the financial year 2018/2019 and 13 CFAs proposals in the financial year 2019/2020.
