Baseline Consultancies
During the project design, it was strongly recommended that the Upper Tana Natural Resources Management Project(UTaNRMP) conducts various studies for the project to generate baseline information. The studies were to be designed with the objective of collecting qualitative and quantitative data that would help assess the situation at the start of the project, set bench marks/indicators and form a platform for assessing the impact of the project. In its first year of implementation, UTaNRMP competitively sourced for consultants to conduct these studies as per terms of reference. Household interviews, Focused Group Discussion, Key Informant Interviews were among the many primary data collections tools used in the studies. The baseline studies conducted included:-
