UTaNRMP intends to undertake the Final Environmental and Social Audit of the project's activities. Towards accomplishing its objectives, the Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP) now Requests for Expression of Interest (REOI) from qualified firms registered by the National Environment Management Authority in Kenya and with experience on Natural Resources based environmental and social Audits to undertake the Final Environmental and Social Audit of UTaNRMP activities.

Towards accomplishing its objectives, the Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP) now Requests for Expression of Interest (REOI) from qualified firms registered by the National Environment Management Authority in Kenya and with experience on Natural Resources based environmental and social Audits to undertake the Final Environmental and Social Audit of UTaNRMP activities.
The Government of Kenya has received financial assistance from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards financing the Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project. The project completion date is 31st December 2022 and the closure date is June 2023. The goal of the project is to contribute to rural poverty reduction in the Upper Tana River Catchment through increased sustainable food production and incomes and sustainable management of natural resources for provision of environmental services. The Project Lead Agency is the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation. Project Coordination and Management is undertaken by a competitively recruited Project Coordinating Unit (PCU) staff.
Towards accomplishing its objectives, the Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP) intends to use part of the funds to procure an atomic absorption spectroscopy machine. Details on this are provided in the documents attached herewith.

This is a notice of intent to award (NOITA) notifying the public of UTaNRMP’s decision to award a contract for consultancy services to carry out community proposal appraisal (both desk and field), implementation support, monitoring and evaluation as an Independent Oversight Agent (IOA)
The Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project’s (UTaNRMP) attention has been drawn to fake job opportunities being circulated by fraudulent individuals/agencies through messaging platforms, social media, emails that look like UTaNRMP’s official email address and other communication channels. These scams may seek to extract money or personal details from the public.
The public is hereby notified that vacancies at UTaNRMP are advertised on National Newspapers, posted on the Project’s website (www.utanrmp.or.ke ) as well as that of Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation (www.water.go.ke ). The same are also shared via the project’s social media platforms.
UTaNRMP does not ask candidates to pay money at any stage of its recruitment process.
We urge the public therefore, to disregard any such communication that does not originate from UTaNRMP’s official channels. Further, UTaNRMP encourages members of the public to conduct due diligence to authenticate such communication and report to the police where fraud is detected.
