The 4^th call for proposals from Water Resources Users Associations (WRUAs) and Community Forest Associations (CFAs) was published in the year 2021 in the Standard and Star dailies. Consequently, the Water Sector Trust Fund (WSTF) received 69 proposals (41No. WRUAs & 28 No. CFAs). After the proposals appraisal by the Secretariat and the Project Review Committee (PRC) and no objection by IFAD; a total of 36 projects qualified for funding. Nineteen (19) of these are WRUAs and Seventeen (17) are CFAs.

The Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP) invites sealed tenders from qualified tenderers for Supply and Delivery of an Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy Machine and its accessories as per detailed specifications in the tender document.

The Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP) in conjunction with the appointed auctioneer M/s Jostel Auctioneers P.O. Box 7653-01000, Thika shall sell by public auction boarded motor vehicles, motorcycles, unserviceable and surplus ICT equipment on 2^nd February 2022 starting from10:00am at their Head Office in Embu. UTaNRMP intends to undertake the Final Environmental and Social Audit of the project's activities. Towards accomplishing its objectives, the Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP) now Requests for Expression of Interest (REOI) from qualified firms registered by the National Environment Management Authority in Kenya and with experience on Natural Resources based environmental and social Audits to undertake the Final Environmental and Social Audit of UTaNRMP activities.  

The Government of Kenya has received financial assistance from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards financing the Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project. The project completion date is 31st December 2022 and the closure date is June 2023. The goal of the project is to contribute to rural poverty reduction in the Upper Tana River Catchment through increased sustainable food production and incomes and sustainable management of natural resources for provision of environmental services.

The Upper Tana Catchment Natural Resources Management Project’s (UTaNRMP) attention has been drawn to fake job opportunities being circulated by fraudulent individuals/agencies through messaging platforms, social media, emails that look like UTaNRMP’s official email address and other communication channels. These scams may seek to extract money or personal details from the public.
